K9 SARS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and was
formed as a community resource to governmental agencies,
groups and individuals needing assistance to search for lost
or missing persons, and assist with human remains recovery
operations. As a community resource we DO NOT charge for
our searches. We are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a
year.
K9 SARS is located in the State of Georgia. We are available
to assist in the states of Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee,
Florida, and North and South Carolina. We are also available
to assist in other parts of the country upon special request.
We have worked with numerous law enforcement agencies,
fire departments, emergency management agencies and
volunteer groups. These range from local sheriff and police
departments, to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and FBI.
All training and equipment for the dog team (dog and handler)
are specifically formatted for wilderness search and rescue
missions and human remains detection. All dog teams are
crossed trained to locate live persons and human remains.
We also have members who are certified law enforcement
officers, and are available to search for fugitives (“bad guys”).
Dog teams respond fully equipped to conduct searches in all
types of terrain, weather and daylight/evening hours, and are
self-sufficient for 72 hours. Dog teams are capable of
locating the following:

Overdue Hunters
Alzheimer’s Victims
Mental Patients
Runaways
Fugitives (“Bad Guys”)
Homicide Victims
Suicide Persons
Disaster Victims
